Dear expectant parents:
We are so happy you are reading our story and getting to know a little about us. You are making an incredibly brave and selfless decision. We could not imagine how hard this choice must be. We assure you that we will do anything and everything we can to make sure this is a smooth process. We know the importance of the birth parents being comfortable with their decision. We want the adoption to be as open as you want it. We are currently working with an agency called Children’s Home + Aid for our licensing to adopt. They will also be a resource to help guide us during the adoption process.
Some things you should know about us. We are Jaime and Lauren and we live in the south west suburbs of Chicago! We’re best friends! Whether vacationing in the Caribbean or taking a trip to the local Whole Foods, we love spending time together. Laughter plays a big role in our life and we’re fortunate to find one another pretty darn funny! One of the first things we noticed about one another was our similar sense of humor. We love to be goofy, and we do not care who is watching. We love to sing and dance. Most people probably do not know this about us, but when we are at home we sing constantly and randomly dance just to make the other person laugh. We love to throw dance parties! Our niece’s and nephews can attest to this, we even have a dance party bag filled with light up glasses, disco balls, and light up necklaces to bring to any occasion.
What we can promise if you chose us is this, your child is going to feel unconditional love, have lots of laughter, and be a part of a big, fun family. Your child will be cared for and loved, not just by us but by our entire extended family that eagerly awaits a baby’s arrival. The baby will have Grandparents who spoil them endlessly and cousins to grow up with. The baby will be a part of a family that has a lot of traditions, love, security and support. We promise we will be the absolute best parents we can be to your child. We appreciate you taking the time to look at our page and please reach out to us if interested in learning more about us!
In 2015 we purchased our first home! After a long search we found the perfect 3 bedroom/ 3 bathroom house that sits on 1/2 acre of land with plenty of room for kids to run and play! We bought the house with the idea in mind of starting a big family! At our home we love to have family parties where we rent a big bounce house for the children to play! We also enjoy playing games in our big back yard and sitting around our fire pit making s’mores!! When we were house hunting, our number one must have was a good school district. When we found that this home was in one of the best school districts in the country, we knew it was a must have. The neighborhood we live in is diverse, and incredibly friendly. We live close to a little downtown area with restaurants, shops, parks, and a cute little water park for kids.
I was born and raised in a small town located in the southern suburbs of Chicago. Since I was a little kid, the one thing I knew about my life was no matter what happened in life, I always had family. My Mom and Dad are my best friends and that remained true throughout my entire childhood. I have 2 older brothers that were your typical brothers. My oldest brother always found a way to pick on me, and my other brother was my protector. I had my fair share of getting spoiled and I believe I am the strong person I am today because of my brothers. Family has always been important to me!
Most people who know me would tell you that I really am a kid at heart. If I am faced with the choice of having an adult conversation or running around the yard playing with my niece and nephews…. I will almost always choose to play! I love spending time throwing around a softball, playing kickball, getting in water gun fights, and just having a fun time! I grew up playing sports. Sports were a huge part of my childhood and remain that way in my adulthood. I played softball from the age of 5 until I graduated college. In my adult life I enjoy watching football, baseball, and hockey! As my niece and nephews grow older, I love to go to their sports games and cheer them on. I can’t wait until the day I am able to coach my children in whatever sports they choose to play.
“The first thing I noticed about Lauren was her sense of humor, and ability to make people laugh without even trying. One of my favorite traits of Lauren is her ability to talk to anyone, at any time, about any subject, anywhere. She can walk into a room of strangers and walk out with friends.”
I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. My Dad was a Police officer and my Mom ran an in-home daycare while I was growing up and eventually became a professional nanny. I have one younger brother that I didn’t always see eye to eye with and we had your typical sibling rivalry. Growing up softball was a huge part of my life.
I played from the age of 6 until my junior year of high school. Living in Portland we were always outside! We were an hour from the Oregon Coast and an hour from Mt. Hood, so during the summer we would spend time at the beach and in the winter you could find us on the mountain! One of my favorite memories as a child was going camping with my family and extended family on the Deschutes River! I also have fond memories of going fishing with my uncle almost every weekend and school break. He bought my brother and I our own fishing rod and tackle box. My uncle taught me everything you could know about fishing and even would let me clean the fish we caught!
“The first thing I noticed about Jaime was her laugh. To this day her laugh makes me smile and is so infectious. Jaime is typically an introvert until you get to know her and then she becomes fun and goofy. A typical day with Jaime is filled with a lot of singing, and a lot of laughter. ”
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our profile.
