About Us

Billy and I met when he was DJing a school D.A.R.E. dance where I worked and my sons attended.  We become great friends enjoying camping, boating, four wheeling, and just being around each other.  That friendship was a wonderful foundation to the love we have built together.  We have been married for 17 years and have dreamed of raising a child together for many years.  Here is a little bit about us  Dana – I raised three boys at a young age in a previous marriage.  I know how important it is to have patience, understanding and compassion when raising children.  I believe that children need structure and routine (with lots of spontaneous fun thrown in).  I raised my boys to enjoy holiday traditions and eating as a family.  Talking around the table was one of our favorite times (still is).  I am a special education teacher (working on my Master’s in Autism Spectrum Disorder) and it is important to me to make a positive difference and encourage not only my students, but my family & friends.  You may want to know why after raising 3 sons I would want another child.  I love children, my heart is full when I watch a child grow academically, emotionally, and physically.  Reading to a child puts a smile on my face.  I wanted more children but could not have them due to hereditary cancer (my middle son had it).  And I have always wanted to raise one with Billy, he will be such a great daddy.  Billy – a strong and kind hearted man.  Billy is an encouraging & loving husband.  I am the teacher today due to him encouraging me to go to college.  Billy is a lineman for an electric company and loves his job.  He came into my life when I was a single mom he embraced this opportunity and treated them as his own.  He is a calm, supportive, & compassionate man which make perfect daddy qualities.  The support and love he continues to show my sons is just an example of what kind of father he will be to your child.  This wonderful life we have built together is missing something special, a child we can raise and create wonderful memories together.  We are at the perfect time to share our life with a child.

Our Home & Community

We live on a cul de sac in a large and safe neighborhood.  There is a nearby pool and playground.  Your child will enjoy walks or bike rides around the neighborhood as well as playtime in the large, fenced back yard.  Our location is perfect, we are a few hours from the beach and a few hours from the mountains.  We love spontaneous day trips to the beach.  We have 5 pups which enjoy going to the beach as well.  At this time my mom is staying with us and is looking forward to playing (and I’m sure spoiling) her grandchild.

Our Thoughts about Parenting & Adoption

Everything we do now we already imagine a child in the picture – making castles on the beach, roasting marshmallows on a campfire, playing ball with Lulu (our Goldendoodle), making pizzas, going for walks, visiting family and new places, and the pitter patter of their little feet running through the house.  Parenting is very important to us and making sure we create a structured home filled with tons of love and laughter is a must.  Dinners around the table discussing the day, experiencing old holiday traditions and creating new ones.  Making sure our child knows they are loved, they are most important, and that they can achieve anything they put their mind to and work on.  We will support him/her in all that they do making sure we build their self esteem from day one.  Children should know they are worth everything.  Adopting is how Billy and I can achieve this dream of having a child together and we thank you for considering us.  A child is truly a gift and it is even more a gift when chosen by you to raise your child and we will do everything in our power to make sure him/her know how much they are loved by us and by you.

Closing Thoughts

Thank you again for considering us to adopt your child.  We pray that you enjoyed getting a glimpse into our lives.  If you did choose us to adopt your child we promise she will never question being loved and supported.  Your child will enjoy being a part of a big family (older brothers to visit and be loved by) but also enjoy being the only child in our home.
