About Us

From an early age…

…both of us knew we wanted to be dads, and from very early in our relationship we discovered this shared desire! We’re fortunate to have amazing role models, not only in our own parents, but in our community of friends, many who have recently become parents themselves. These role models encourage and inspire us as they demonstrate compassion, selflessness, optimism, and a zest for life. We strive to embody these qualities in our own daily lives and are ready to learn more as we teach these qualities to our children. In the meantime, we continue to make music in our living room, watch the next Disney movie on our list, try out new recipes, and remember to celebrate what sparks joy in life as we look forward to the next chapter!

Eric according to Justin…

When he is in his element, whether teaching music to kids, conducting and leading an orchestra, or organizing an outing for our family and loved ones, Eric leads with patience, selfless compassion, and humility that inspires me to be a better person. He makes me laugh like no one else, and his playful optimism in any situation is both reassuring and encouraging. Alongside his ever-bright outlook, Eric is also a realist, and his work ethic, responsibility, and dedication towards his goals are unwavering. He will be the most incredible dad, and I can’t wait for our adventures together as a family.”

Justin according to Eric…

“Justin has brought levels of joy, love and laughter into my life that I had never thought were possible. The amounts of respect and warmth he selflessly gives to me and the others around him will only be magnified when he devotes his life to his children. A mentor and the most patient listener, he allows a safe space for everyone in his life to come to him with their ups and downs. His curiosity, constant learning, and quest for knowledge inspires me daily to be a better person. I know he will continuously spark our children’s curiosity as well! His unwavering dedication to both our marriage, as well as his music will inspire our children to boldly follow their own dreams of love and fulfillment. He’s kind and smiles often, and will undoubtedly teach our children the importance of having a good and compassionate heart. From the day we met I’ve envisioned us as fathers together, a team I’m so proud to be part of.”

Our Home & Community

Our Hearts are in our Home…

We’ve proudly worked to create and maintain a warm and welcoming home of color, light, plants, magic and whimsy. The kitchen truly is the heart of our home. Whether entertaining guests or trying out new recipes, we are always happy to spend a lot of time there. We take pride in our health by cooking with raw, organic and natural foods whenever we can, in addition to staying physically fit and active at the gym. We’re excited to teach the joys of healthy living and baking with our little ones and hope to one day own a home with a garden, where we’ll grow our own fruits and vegetables (and perhaps adopt a dog or two as well!)

Our living room is very much our sanctuary…

Singing and music from our piano fills the room, but it is also a place for meditation, yoga, reading, board games and deep conversations with close friends and family. Each piece of art on our walls has incredible meaning. There are mementos from past theater productions, original paintings by Justin’s father, posters of our favorite films, and sentimental items and gifts we have received. When we look at this space, we can’t help but envision a little one crawling, reading books, napping on the couch, and dancing to music from our record player.

We surround ourselves…

…with a community of inspiring and like-minded friends, families and their kids. They are best friends from school, co-workers who’ve become family, brothers, sisters, cousins, people who we confide in, and especially our OWN parents! Together we celebrate holidays, make music, and watch children grow before our eyes. These generous folks have also offered so much help in advance, from babysitting to newborn items. We’re already in line to inherit cribs and strollers, clothing, books and toys! We are overwhelmed by their love and support.

Our Promise…

We promise to love this child unconditionally and with every bit of our hearts. We promise to make him or her smile often and show them all the music and magic this beautiful life has to offer. 

We also promise that the child we raise will know how much they are loved by you. 

Above all, we promise that the child you entrust to us will have the opportunity to become anything he or she dreams of. They will be safe, secure and encouraged by us (and those around us) every single day.
