We want to begin by thanking you you for taking time to check us out. Without you our hope for a child wouldn’t exist. We cannot pretend to imagine what you’re going though and feel as if a few words aren’t enough to express our desire for God to do great things in you and your child’s life. We’re just two ladies hoping God blesses us with a child to share our hearts, home and the beaches of sunny San Diego with. We’ve been through our ups and downs by multiple separations due to deployments and battling cancer, so we’ve learned that life is precious and to make the most of our time together. With that being said we feel as if choosing to make an adoption plan takes more courage than anything we’ve ever been through.

We met on the runway of the helicopter squadron we were both stationed at in 2008 while both of us were serving in the US Navy. We became fast friends and waited a year before dating. As luck would have it we were separated by a deployment when Sarah was sent to Iraq in 2009. But instead of letting the separation be the end of us we thought “let’s see what happens” and ended up married. We’ve traveled the world together, encouraged each other to achieve our college educations, held each other up through the loss of family and friends, Jenn battled cancer (and won!), and we enjoy spending time with our huge extended family. One of our favorite activities to do as a family is load up our husky and golden retriever and take them to the beach for sun and waves.
Jenn is from Florida and a US Navy Veteran who loves helping other Veterans achieve their educational goals with the VA. She loves to workout and will flex at the drop of a dime. Let her catch wind of any spirited debate and she gets right in the mix. She enjoys attending Padres games with Sarah but her first love is being a fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. As an avid reader she can’t wait to share her love of books with her own child.
Sarah is from Texas and is active duty military and plans on staying in until retirement. After retirement she is looking forward to being a full time stay at home mom. Sarah is not as talkative as Jenn and can spend solitary confinement in her game room playing video games for hours. She can’t wait to have a tiny partner to play games and make memories with. She loves cheering on the Dallas Stars and would love to take her children to as many hockey games as possible. There is no where she can go around the house without a spoiled cat or cuddly dog right on her heels.
Our Home & Community
We live in a friendly quiet suburban community. Within walking distance is an outdoor mall which includes a dog park, gym, soccer fields, kids splash pad, and one of three parks near by, and a movie theater. There is an elementary school down the hill and on holidays we watch school children take field trips to the mall as they walk by our house. We swim at our community pool just a few houses behind us and visit the local parks, including a skate park, when we babysit our nieces and nephews. We share a driveway with five other families, all of whom have children, and spend weekends socializing with them while our dogs, Jedi and Daenerys, make best friends with the neighborhood kids. Our dogs love to take strolls through the neighborhood with us and walk to the lake to watch fireworks. Our cats Kenji, Zoe and Sami are the true overlords of the house. We have plenty of room for them to chase each other around and claim their own private sectors of our home. We have three bedrooms, three bathrooms, an extra room Sarah converted into a game/media room, open concept kitchen and living room, garage and patio that we installed a fire pit and lights so we can stay warm and comfy on cool nights.
Our Thoughts about Parenting & Adoption
Adoption has been something we’ve wanted to do for years. We want to be as open as we can with our children and include their birth parents as much as possible, but don’t want to make anyone feel pressured to be included. Our post adoption communication with the birth parents can be whatever is best for both families because after all we wouldn’t be able to have a child without them. Most importantly we want our child to know how much they are loved by your decision. We purposefully bought our home based on the school district so our children can have a great education. Since we have military benefits for a college education we plan to utilize as much as possible for their college studies. Sarah is one of 12 children and Jenn has a brother and is close with her cousins. We love watching our nieces and nephews grow up and are hoping to be upgraded from aunties to moms.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit about us! Although we understand this is not an easy decision we cannot begin to understand what considering adoption feels like. We pray for your well being and strength to make this tough decision. Please feel free to reach out to us if you’d like to contact us.
