AmericaAdopts.com is an online meeting place and information service made available to the adoption community by America Adopts! Inc. (herein referred to as “America Adopts!” or “AmericaAdopts.com”). The goal of America Adopts! is to provide networking opportunities and information to prospective adoptive parents and birth parents regarding adoption in America. America Adopts! is not an adoption agency, adoption attorney or an adoption facilitator. It does not arrange adoptions or participate in matching specific children to specific prospective adoptive parents. Information made available on or through AmericaAdopts.com should not be considered as a substitute for legal or other professional advice.
Adoption Profiles Registry
The contents of the “Adoption Profile” letters posted on AmericaAdopts.com are the sole responsibility of the individuals who submit them. America Adopts! disclaims any liability for the accuracy of any information contained in the “Adoption Profile” letters or for any information that is subsequently offered by any of the prospective adoptive parents. America Adopts! does not guarantee that prospective adoptive parents on the “Adoption Profiles” registry will make suitable parents and disclaims any liability resulting from a prospective birth mother or birth parent selecting adoptive parents from the registry. It is recommended that prospective birth parents contact at least three registrants prior to making a final decision. All prospective adoptive parents in the “Adoption Profiles” registry represent and warrant to America Adopts! that their use of or participation in the registry does not violate any applicable law, and that they have satisfied all pre-adoption certification requirements in their jurisdiction of residence. It is the responsibility of all prospective adoptive parents to consult with their adoption attorney or licensed worker before joining the registry and to have a valid home study. No refunds are available after a profile has been posted online and partial refunds are not available for unused time.
Agencies and Professionals Information regarding adoption agencies or professionals is provided as a community service and does not constitute an endorsement of the agency or professional by America Adopts! All agencies and professionals mentioned on or linked to or from AmericaAdopts.com are independent entities and should be independently researched before engaging their services. America Adopts! disclaims all liability in respect of any agency or professional mentioned on or linked to or from AmericaAdopts.com.
Information and Resources
Americaadopts.com is a community service, and the information, resources and materials made available on the site or through e-mail or telephone is subjective in nature and may not apply to any specific circumstance or location. All information, resources and materials should be considered non-authoritative and should not be relied upon. America Adopts! has no obligation to answer questions, and assumes no liability as a result of any information, resources or materials it may provide or from posting any information, resources or materials on the site.

America Adopts! reserves the right to remove any Posted Content at any time in its sole discretion. Without limiting the foregoing, America Adopts! will have the right to remove any “Adoption Profile” where it has any reason to believe that the registrants supplied false or misleading information.
Guidelines Regarding Guest Blog Contributions
America Adopts! was created as a platform to raise awareness about open adoption — to inform, educate and support all members of the adoption triad. Our aim is to make our site a place that is inclusive and safe, where readers can read, share and discuss content posted on our site freely and openly, explore new points of view and find hope and encouragement. Opposing views are welcome, as long as they do not constitute a personal attack. All parties in adoption have sensitivities and there are many ways to make your point without using a tone or language that is hurtful or that others may find offensive. Please respect other people’s views and beliefs and consider your impact on others when making your contribution. The editors of the America Adopts! blog reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to reject submissions that we feel do not adhere to these guidelines, infringe on the rights of other members of the triad, or are not in the best interest of the America Adopts! community.
